Headlining this year’s expanded Memory Lane exhibit at the Miami International Auto Show is a 1940 Ford Deluxe Sedan.

Ford Motor Company originally introduced the Deluxe Ford Line in 1938 as an upscale passenger sedan. The 1940 edition of the Deluxe Sedan contains a smooth 221 ci flathead V8 engine, manual shift transmission, whitewall tires, rear doors and an AM radio.

The car was restored by the late Al Roscoe, a past president of the Antique Automobile Club of America’s South Florida Region (AACA). The car is being displayed in recognition for Roscoe’s many years of dedication to Antique Automobile Club.

Among the over 50 vehicles in this year’s Memory Lane display are a 1918 Buick E35 Touring, 1931 Cadillac V12 Imperial Sedan, 1959 Chevy Impala, 1963 Chevrolet Corvette, 1965 Ford Mustang, 1968 Dodge Charger, 1980 Maserati Merak SS and a 1991 Rover Mini 1000.

Founded in 1955, the Antique Automobile Club of America’s South Florida Region comprises 400 local members and is dedicated to the restoration, preservation and enjoyment of antique vehicles. The local group regularly hosts antique car shows.
